In this new assignment as our Architecture Leader for Data & Information, you'll lead the charge on a wonderful adventure, showcasing and inspiring the best-in-class architectural data strategies and ways of working.

About the Job

Your mission is to weave together data modeling and data flows, doing your part in making sure everything integrates seamlessly across domains and products. It's all about seeing the big picture while rolling up your sleeves to create canonical formats.

Your knack for translating tech talk into everyday business language will make everything clearer for all our stakeholders. This is a senior but hands-on role, so you can lead the way while we build great things together for the many people!

You will interact and collaborate within Retail Operations (ROSS) and with stakeholders across IKEA and the different franchisees to understand needs and synergies, secure buy-in, and jointly create seamless experiences worldwide. You'll lead the development and delivery of key elements like Master & Reference Data Management, Data Lifecycle Management, Data Modeling, Data & AI Ethics, and Canonical Schemas.

You'll lead architecture Think-Tanks-becoming a “sparring partner” for architects seeking a second opinion on tricky topics or decisions when it comes to your area of expertise.
But that’s not all – you’ll be collaborating closely with peers across Inter IKEA and the wider IKEA community, strengthening our franchise offer. We need someone who can bring people together, answer the big questions, and create something special.

Skills, experience, and knowledge requirements to be successful:

  • Extensive experience in mapping data and information flows.
  • Hands-on approach and enthusiasm to lead by example.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft solutions such as Dynamics, Azure is desirable.
  • Ability to mentor individuals who are new to data and information architecture.
  • Capability to challenge existing processes and propose innovative solutions.
  • Background as a Data Scientist, Information Architect, Solution Architect or similar.
  • Highly senior-level expertise.
  • Expertise in Information Architecture and the ability to articulate it clearly.
  • Collaborative experience with Domain Architects to provide support and guidance.
  • Experience in supporting the business intelligence team.
  • You are a solid and passionate leader who adapts well in a multicultural environment, thrives in a transforming environment, and is comfortable with leading changes.
  • Proven analytical skills and experience making decisions based on hard and soft data.
  • Outstanding communicator with the ability to make complex technical things simple. You can communicate and collaborate with people across continents and cultures in an amazing way.

ROSS is part of Retail Concept Operations and our focus is retail system development, to manage the brand and the concept from a digital retail operations perspective – and to support expansion. We are now starting a journey to upgrade our ERP core digital retail offer with D365 Finance & Operations, D365 Commerce, D365 Customer Engagement, D365 Field Service, and different Power Platform apps.

More Information

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) located in Malmö, Sweden. You will report to the Architecture Manager, Retail Operations Solution & Support, Retail Concept.
