Job mission
As a Product Development Engineer, you will be a crucial part of the R&D team in the Lifting Automation division, developing new and innovating lifting solutions for the industry.Today the R&D team consists of 8 people and the work involves developing new and improving existing products that help people to, in an ergonomic and safe way, lift and move different types of objects. In the role you will be involved throughout the entire product development process, from idea to finished product, which is often characterized by technical challenges.
You will report directly to the R&D Director Lifting Automation and the position is based in Kungsbacka.
Key responsibilities
- Develop mechanical systems, sometimes with elements of electronics, for ergonomic lifting solutions.
- Create and maintain product documentation and drawings in the PLM system.
- Produce design documents and other product related documentation needed for production and user manuals.
- Discuss technical solutions with suppliers to make sure that the best production method is used to reach our cost targets.
- Stay updated with new technologies, production methods and legal regulations affecting our business.
- Plan, execute and analyse tests to ensure product quality and producibility.

- like to test your ideas in the workshop.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
- At least 3-5 years of experience within mechanical engineering.
- Proficient in 3D CAD and PDM systems, preferably Solid Works.
- Excellent English skills, verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point, etc
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and passionate about innovation and problem-solving
- Experience of electric systems is meritorious but not a requirement.
