The Range & Product Communication Area, within the Strategy & Plan function, is accountable for the IMC business leadership of the assignment to develop and deliver communication content that supports the IKEA range offer. We are now looking for a Range & Product Communication Specialist to join our team!
Job Description
The Range & Product Communication assignment is the biggest assignment in IMC, with thousands of assets being delivered for every sales start. As part of the Product Communication assignment, IMC leads the development and production of impactful and inspiring content that contributes to the conversion of customers, by enabling them to make an informed purchasing decision.
As a Range & Product Communication Specialist you will be responsible for the planning and follow-up of the global Range & Product communication content assignment portfolio in terms of quality, time and costs within the assigned Range Area, together with the Range & Product Communication Leader.
Your assignment includes:
leading the periodical planning of product communication and information content, and for securing content planning alignment between Range and Product Communication.
leading the product communication content mapping, based on the detailed product input from range areas, securing that communication needs are captured and reflected in relevant content formats and solutions.
securing a coherent customer experience by evaluating communication needs from different range areas to identify similarities, dependencies and impact the total delivery and scope.
leading the debriefing of the product communication content to Range Areas, and anchoring the debrief with IMC Studios, to prepare the team for coming content orders.
assignment leadership of the approved unplanned and planned on-request projects within product communication.
contributing to the continuous development of the product communication assignment in IMC, by identifying and capturing content and capability development opportunities (e.g. asset types, templates, business rules, ways of working, processes, digital solutions, methods etc.).
main contact with Range Area Product Communication Specialists, as well as with the IMC Studios Project Team, in product communication topics.
Qualifications
Extensive experience from working with Product Communication in IKEA, with in-depth knowledge and understanding of product communication frameworks, tools, infrastructures, ways of working and guidelines etc.
Experience from working with Product communication within a Range Area in IKEA of Sweden, or in IMC, with an understanding of the interdependencies between the product development processes in IoS and the content development process in IMC
Expert in the product communication analysis methodology and understanding of its relation to the product development processes.
Knowledge about today’s omnichannel landscape, the customer journey, and how customers consume and experience communication content.
Knowledge about the IKEA brand, values, copy and visual identity, tone of voice.
Experience from leading in the unknown and deliver value in ever-changing conditions.
Strong written, visual, and spoken communication skills, as well as fluency in English.
You are passionate about enabling an impactful and effective content delivery that inspires and enables customers to make an informed purchasing decision. You are curious by nature, and continuously strive to increase your own knowledge base.You understand complex details but can easily switch into a holistic perspective to prioritise and make decisions based on business value.
You are energized by supporting and empowering others by sharing your experience and knowledge. You facilitate collaboration and build trusting stakeholder relationships.
Your structured mindset, and strong sense of logic, allows you to identify synergies and optimisations. You lead and prioritise your own work and handle multiple deliverables simultaneously.
