We are looking for a dynamic Head of Strategy and M&A to lead our strategic agenda, drive organic growth through M&A, and shape the future of our business by taking on diverse, high-impact initiatives across strategy, M&A, and business transformation.
About the role
As the Head of Strategy and M&A, you will lead the development and execution of Sinch’s corporate strategy and M&A strategies. This includes identifying growth opportunities, leading M&A transactions end-to-end, overseeing integration, and supporting ongoing portfolio evaluations to guide investment, optimization, or divestment decisions.You will own Sinch Long Range Planning process (LRP) and yearly business planning process. Additionally, you will lead selected strategic projects and cross functional initiatives that are critical to Sinch’s agenda.
Success in this role requires balancing strategic vision with operational execution and building relationships across all levels of the organization. You will work closely with CFO, CEO, CPO, Regional EVPs, the Board of Directors and the founders of Sinch.This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage a small, skilled team while directly driving strategic initiatives, complex transactions, and acquired businesses performance.
You will operate across a wide range of topics, some well-defined, others requiring creativity and adaptability as new challenges and opportunities emerge. This role is highly cross-functional and offers a rare opportunity to influence the trajectory of a global technology leader.
This role is based at our HQ in Stockholm, Sweden and reports to our Group CFO.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Corporate Strategy- Lead the development of Sinch’s long-term corporate strategy, working closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders across the global organization.
- Lead the Long Range Planning (LRP) process to define growth priorities, investment areas, and strategic focus.
- Lead the annual business planning process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Lead selected strategic corporate projects, that’s on the agenda of the group, driving impact on critical priorities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of tech industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies shaping our sector.
- Support ongoing evaluation of Sinch’s core and adjacent businesses, driving decisions on where to invest, optimize, or divest.
- Provide data-driven strategic insights to guide resource allocation and future growth initiatives.
- Provide the Group Leadership team and Board of Directors with strategic recommendations on M&A priorities.
- Define and execute an M&A strategy aligned with Sinch’s growth objectives.
- Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities with business owners.
- Lead the entire transaction lifecycle: sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, negotiations, execution, and post-merger integration, in tight collaboration with business owners.
- Monitor the performance of acquired businesses to strategic alignment and value delivery.
- Develop and execute plans for, and monitor the development of, non-core assets.
- Lead and support divestiture processes, ensuring non-core assets are exited efficiently and profitably.
- Collaborate with the Finance, Legal, and other key stakeholders on deal structuring and maintain strategic relationships with banks, advisors, and key partners.
- Build trusted relationships with executive leadership, regional teams and functional heads across the organization.
- Take on special projects or cross-functional initiatives as needed, adapting quickly to evolving business priorities.
- Lead by example – mentoring your team while remaining hands on in analysis, decision-making, and execution.

Requirements
You are a strategic, hands-on leader with experience in tech-driven environments, combining corporate development, the full M&A lifecycle, and strategic leadership. You’re energized by variety and thrive in global, fast-paced settings where priorities evolve.You bring strong analytical skills, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in corporate strategy and M&A, ideally within the technology, SaaS, or communications sectors.
- Strong M&A execution skills with a proven track record leading complex, cross-border deals and integrations.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to assess businesses, drive portfolio optimization, and support divestitures.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building collaborative, high-performing teams while staying hands-on.
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including at the executive and Board level.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
- Academic background in Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA or M.Sc. preferred), though proven experience is valued most highly.
