About the position
One of Perido's many clients is a company active in the automotive industry. They are one of the world's leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction machinery, and marine and industrial engines. We are now looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in the company’s office in Gothenburg.
Your daily tasks
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take on the role of Component Responsible, working closely with cross-functional teams to contribute to the future of combustion engine technology. In this role, you will focus on the non-moving parts of heavy-duty engines, such as cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, and exhaust manifolds, ensuring that each component meets strict quality and performance standards.
You’ll collaborate with global networks, overseeing the design, development, and testing of these components to support heavy-duty trucks, buses, excavators, and marine engines. The team constantly innovates with sustainable solutions, to meet evolving industry goals.A strong technical curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a drive to innovate are key in this role as we push the boundaries of engine performance and efficiency.
Your characteristics

Qualifications:
- Sc. degree or higher in mechanical engineering or similar
- 5 years’ experience in designing casted components in metal or plastic
- Experience in Creo
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written English
Contract type and hours
Full-time consulting assignment until 2025-05-02. Start 2024-11-06.
