What you need to know
To be successful you have:
- 5-8 years documented database administration experience in Oracle, and at least one of Postgres and SQL Server db engines. Knowledge designing, maintaining, and supporting Database infrastructure is meriting.
- Hand on experience Linux/Redhat OS
- In-depth knowledge of Ansible automation, including playbook development, roles, and Ansible Tower.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) for customizing and extending Ansible functionality in the context of databases.
- Experience of monitoring and event management like Observability, Otel Framework and event driven architecture.
Other merits considered:
- SRE practitioner and ambassador of implementing automation first and event driven mindset
- Hands-on experience in performance monitoring and tuning at instance level, database level, OS level and Query level
- Hands-on experience on Golden gate to setup bi-directional and Uni-directional replications, Replication at table and Schema level
- Good Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Experience performing and optimizing database migration methodologies for Oracle to Oracle, Oracle to Postgres and platform migrations
- GCP/Azure/ Alibaba Cloud provider experience is meriting
- Apply structured engineering approach adhering to processes like ITIL
Tasks you could be engaged in:
- You will be trusted to combine systems knowledge, monitoring expertise, and operations competence with programming/scripting skills to build new capabilities, enhance and automate our services and environments.
- Participate in design, development and delivery of automation and self-service capabilities for efficiency, availability, and usability.
- Continuously monitor and improve our environments using tools like OEM, Prometheus, Grafana
- By following latest technology trends and standards, developing and running our current and future monitoring solutions supporting Products and Services using automation first approach and the right toolsets required in order to deliver according to requirements.
- Ensure that Services are built according to best practices by continuously learning from and benchmarking against industry standards to continuously validate and improve deliverables.
- Through operational engagement ensure database management runs smoothly 24/7
- Be part of/lead troubleshooting sessions with other infrastructure teams to resolve critical incidents.
- Support to maintain the service quality, life cycle management and operation of environments to fulfil the service commitments.
- Be prepared to dig deep into our technology stack and have a lot of fun on the way

- You have a technical background and preferably deep knowledge from working specifically with development and automation.
