Business Unit Commodities within Customer and Solutions region Nordic supports Business- and Consumer Sales with ownership of a legally- and regulatory compliant, sustainable and value-adding product- and service portfolio. Contributes to gross margin optimization by managing the pricing strategy and framework as well as hedging strategies and execution of financial sourcing.Manages risks associated with electricity sales and handle the physical power purchase and balance management.

What we do
You will be part of the Power Management team, which has the responsibility to source the electricity and capacity used by our customers in the Nordics. It is a tight team of ten colleagues that report to the Head of Power Management.Vattenfall has one of the largest and most complex product portfolios for Customer electricity sourcing in the Nordics today. We see it as of great importance and value to continue in developing new products, methods, optimizing models and tools adapted to the future energy system in order to drive change and maintain our position as market leaders.

What you will do
In the role as Product manager Customer Flexibility you will be a part of the team responsible to develop our product portfolio connected to flexibility services. Participation on flex markets from a power consuming customer point of view, means that a customer can adjust their consumption based on price signals on power and/or capacity.In the role you will continuously work the strategic business development both developing new products and improving our processes regarding existing products. Hence, an understanding for how customers can be active on the flexibility market and knowledge regarding the electricity market is great asset to the position.
Typical tasks and projects can be to drive product and business development with focus on scalable solutions and robust processes. You will work close to the B2B sales force and assist in the customer journey to connect customers assets to flex markets; identify the assets, calculate the business case and assist in the implementation.You will also be responsible for making sure that our products are compliant with market regulations. There are also some hands-on tasks in the role. The team is involved in the onboarding of customers and the operational process connected to the sourcing.
Some of the tasks can also be onboarding of customers both in our web interface and in prequalification processes.
QualificationsIn order to be successful as a Product Manager we highly value your personal qualities, and believe you are driven by new challenges and an eagerness to learn. It is meritorious that you have hands-on experience from industrial processes and/or a genuine technical interest.
Experience from developing business models and for making sure offers stays profitable for both supplier and customer, is a plus.
Qualifications
- Relevant technical university degree or equivalent.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Work-life experience from the energy market, analytics, and/or data management.
As a person you are curious and an analytical problem solver have a genuine interest in electricity market and the future energy landscape. At the same time, you are flexible and willing to work on more straightforward tasks, if this is what is needed to support the business.
You are outgoing, take initiatives, strive for results and have a willingness to interact directly with customers or external partners. You are enthusiastic about working close with other members of the team – sharing ideas and developing models together.You have the ability to plan and work in a structured way and you are known for a prompt and excellent delivery of even the most complex issues.
