People & Culture Partner - Payroll
In a few months, one of our team members will embark on an even more meaningful journey than any work: becoming a parent. This means we have an open spot on our People and Culture team—a full-time temporary position for 12 months, starting in December.
Who are we?Since 2006, Ridestore has cleared its own path in the business jungle. The most important product we build is our culture. So, our focus has never been on growth for the sake of growth; instead, we’ve built a lean organization with curious people who understand that it’s all about people and their infinite learning.
(And having fun ). We try not to get stuck in corporate bs, which means we, the people of Ridestore, are building the company we love to work for.
We also love the products we co-create with our customers. Our dedication to exceptional quality and driving a great customer experience has led to the fact that you can find our two brands, Dope and Montec, on most slopes around the world. Today, the organization is spread in about ten countries.During the high season (winter), our team grows from about 90 people to 180 when we welcome the seasonal Customer Experience team.
The Team
Similar to what our Customer Experience team does for our customers, we do for our crew. It’s about putting a sprinkle of WOW in everything. As P&C, we support the rest of the organization with the entire Ridestore journey—from first attraction to hiring, to onboarding, to payroll, to development, to a heartfelt goodbye, and a lot more than that.
Today, we’re made up of four people: Kalle, David, Lukas, and Camilla, with different flavors of roles. We believe more in creating value and output than titles, meaning we work closely together to support the moving Ridestore organism with what’s needed.
Sounds exciting? Then this is what your role is about
In the short term, you will focus on getting to know the team and understand Ridestore’s culture. The role's main focus will be to learn how the payroll flow works in detail by overlapping with Camilla before she heads off on her parental leave. This is the core of the role because people kind of enjoy getting paid for the work they do In practice, this means taking the lead in the rolling administrative payroll work, learning, and utilizing our HR-tech tools (Planday and Alexis HR) to get absence reports, preparing documentation for our local payroll partners in each country, and collaborating with Rebecca from our Finance when it comes to our Swedish salaries.
This work is driven by hard monthly deadlines for each country and focuses on benefits and salaries being accurate and compliant in our international environment. An important part of this work is being the main contact for our crew regarding salary and benefits questions.
In the long term, once you’ve grasped how Ridestore and our payroll work, the main focus will be developing and automating the payroll flow. We believe using the right tech is essential for providing a good experience and freeing time. This allows us to focus on WOW-ing our crew instead of working with dull administrative tasks. We want you to be a driver. So, as soon as you feel that you have control over the payroll aspect of the job, you are able to take on more work as a broader P&C people partner.
Who you are
- Since we operate internationally, things can get complicated, so it's key to be able to think on your feet and solve problems

- Technical savviness; used to modern tech (AI) and HR tools
Ridestore has been remote since 2014, except for some people who work at our only office in Gothenburg, Sweden. The P&C team is based in Sweden. So we want you in the CET zone plus/minus 2 hours, as most of our crew are based in Europe.
Our journey is our goal; we want to continue to learn and see where it can take us. We’ll offer you freedom in a passionate and somewhat snowy environment where you can impact the future of Ridestore with your work. Just to be clear, you do not have to be a skier or a snowboarder to enjoy working at Ridestore.
Our team is very diverse, with some who have never skied a day and people who live on the slopes. What is important is rather that you have a passion for people and building something special and unique.
How we do it
Please do not put any effort into writing a cover letter before applying; instead, you will get to write answers to some questions that we find interesting for this role! And please, write it yourself; we love to use AI tools, but in this case, we want to see the real person.Good luck, and have fun!
