We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Business Continuity Specialist to work in our IT Risk & Compliance team in Operations Management. This position is full time and is located in Delft, The Netherlands or Malmö, Sweden.As an IT Business Continuity Specialist, you will be a part of the IT Resilience taskforce to ensure our organizational resilience by developing, implementing, testing and maintaining IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans. This involves deploying our disaster recovery ways of working and providing training and awareness sessions to the wider organization.
You will need to identify potential risks, connect business processes, and coordinate exercises and testing to ensure preparedness and Support the implementation of technical and organizational measures to manage IT Business Continuity. An IT-related background with strong problem-solving, hands-on attitude, and communication skills are essential for this role.

About the role
In this role you will focus on developing and implementing IT resilience capabilities across IKEA. You will also lead programs to make IKEA value chain more resilient to digital disruptive events.
More specifically, in this role you will:
- Together with the network of expertise, contribute to rolling-out the IT Business Continuity Management approach, roadmaps and ways-of-working across IKEA world-wide
- Drive IT Business Continuity Management processes including facilitation IT Disaster Recovery Plan onboarding, training, and testing sessions
- Support structured processes to ensure that Inter IKEA adheres to internal and external (regulatory) requirements in the Business Continuity / Resilience areas (e.g., NIS2, CRA, CER).
- Support the implementation of technical and organizational measures and driving programs to manage IT Business Continuity
- Maintain IT BCM steering documents, internal control systems, and frameworks.
- Conduct verification activities to ensure that controls remain effective and efficient.
- Act as an ambassador of IKEA values, exemplifying fact-based business leadership.
- Foster long-term relationships with franchisees and other IKEA companies through cooperation, trust, and transparency.
Travels, mainly to Sweden/Netherlands, will be required.

We are looking for a visionary, pragmatic, and adaptable leader in Information Security with hands-on experience in IT Business Continuity Management. You should be able to inspire and mobilize people toward clear objectives, embrace ambiguity, and contribute to building new capabilities.
You are curious and able to build relationships in order to establish strong trust between the security community and its stakeholders. It is also necessary that you carry natural credibility, and you have a proven track record of reaching stretch targets.
We expect you to:
- Have relevant knowledge, and hands-on experiences in IT infrastructure, IT disaster recovery, Business Continuity
- Hold relevant Business Continuity management certifications - ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, CBCI is a big plus
- Have hands-on experience in implementing technical and organizational capabilities to manage IT Business Continuity and strengthen organizational digital resilience
- Have experiences working in complex global organizations and adaptable in a highly dynamic organization setting
- Be a natural facilitator and excellent communicator who is able to engage, motivate stakeholders across multiple areas
- Have a pragmatic approach towards problem-solving
- Be comfortable with agile methodologies and have experience in a product-oriented organization
- Have capabilities to break down complex information, organize it, and present it in a clear and engaging way
- Have excellent command of the English language with the ability to cater to non-native audiences
