Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Global Sales Support Specialist role, Global Marketing & Sales Organization - ELSB/ELSP, support the local sales and product marketing teams in the assigned set of countries with technical and commercial tasks. Serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area with a focus on Soft Starting technology.Reporting to the Motor Starting & Safety GSS Team Leader, your strong technical and market knowledge will assist you in providing customers with efficient and effective solutions.
- Offers technical advice and provides comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/application specialists about ABB products (with a focus on Soft Starting technology)/systems/ applications. Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations.
- Maintain prices up to date in the proper tools according to price policy. Support offers preparation in coordination with the local sales unit and Market Development Managers. Support verification of technical and financial aspects of offers, including price and trading conditions. Support the development of new sales opportunities and resolution to specific customer problems.
- Support customers during their visits to local factory site in Västerås.
- Implements global standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes related to operations/project execution and shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
- A university degree in Electrical Engineering and a solid technical background in electrotechnics.
- Experience of working in international companies. with application knowledge.
- Experience and expertise in the field of global technical and sales support.
- Knowledge of MS Office, SAP, Case management in Salesforce, ProSoft, SOC tool for coordination, SoftStarterCare tool, simulation tools, etc.
- Ability to read and understand single line and circuit diagrams. Understanding of selectivity and coordination principles.
- A customer-focused mindset and willpower that contribute to our future success. In addition, self-motivation, open mind, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies and take ownership as well as a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Knowledge about ABB products like SoftStarter, Motor Starting Solutions will be highly appreciated as well as Quality mindset, process and standards knowledge.
- Availability for business travel & proficiency in English language.
